Possession For The Purposes Of Trafficking- Dangerous Driving- Possession Of A Restricted Weapon
Mr. Myers was junior counsel to David Karp at trial. Mr. Karp and Mr. Myers were successful in having the client acquitted at trial for dangerous driving and possession of a restricted weapon which carries a 3 year mandatory minimum jail sentence.
The client received a 9-month conditional sentence order after being convicted for possession for the purposes of trafficking. A strong result considering that conditional sentence orders are now no longer available under the legislation for trafficking related offences.
